Welcome to UnFUSSY camping . . . where relaxation is the ULTIMATE GOAL.
Visit us in the Foothills of the Ozarks and enjoy what UnFUSSY camping is all about.

What is Unfussy camping?

It's releasing yourself to enjoy
Mother Nature's breathtaking beauty
and making the time to thoroughly relax.

It's about sitting around a campfire, listening to the tweets of the birds in the trees, watching sunsets,  over the horizon, walking in the woods, splashing in the nearby streams, checking out the wild flowers, meeting new friends - and clearing the cobwebs out of your soul.

Sprinkle in some great trout fishing at nearby Maramec Spring Park, one of the five trout parks in the state of Missouri - or gas up and cruise along the Mother Road, Route 66 - or sip some local vino or brews
at several nearby wineries and craft breweries - and ending your day dining at superb local restaurants - or practicing your outdoor cooking skills over an open campfire.

And if you haven't ever done 'ole school style' river swimming you can head down to the nearby Meramec River Access - be sure and take your cooler, lawn chairs, floats  and sunscreen - and don't forget your fishing poles. You have to admit this sounds like the perfect setting to enjoy unfussy relaxation at the water's edge by soaking up some good ole' Ozark sunshine.

Well - are you are game to remember how camping can be a great out-of-doors experience? Then you're ready for 'unfussy' camping at Phesasnt Acres RV Park.  Spend a night, a weekend or longer. You won't find another RV park and campground surrounded by such lush forest shade and green grassy area.  I am sure you're going to love discovering  what our quiet family and pet friendly RV park is like. Hopefully you will want to come back again and make us your homebase for exploring the Foothills of the Ozarks. We love our 'PARV Friends.

Camping in the Foothills of the Ozarks is the perfect time to stow away all those electronics and
let your tour guide be Mother Nature.

Our physical location in a area of low population density means WiFi, Cell phone and satellite connections are not top not.  Dang it, nothing we can do about that.

Our apologies in advance.  Believe me - we anxiously await the day that Mid-Missouri technology catches up with the big urban areas. Camping and the wide open out-of-doors can be your opportunity to DETOX from TECHNOLOGY and enjoy the beauty that Momma Nature has to offer - right?
 A Quick. . . . and to the Point Explanation . . .
Regarding Technology in Our Area Of Missouri

We have Ozark engineered WiFi and cell service and are lucky to have any services considering our location in a low density population area of Missouri.

  1. Connection is weather dependent.
  2. Our WiFi is free, but not GUARANTEED and NOT SECURE.
  3. Near I-44 and on top of some of the hills , service works better.
  4. This RV Park is adjacent to and surrounded by a dense forest with many hills and valleys and dead zones as you travel the highways.

  • If you need continual contact via your phone or laptop, traveling with your own wi-fi hotspot with your own phone provider and bringing your own portable satellite will solve your problem.
  • I found that when I was traveling in my RV it was so nice not to be dependant upon the services of others for connection and knowing I always had a secure connection for banking and personal business.
  • Please plan accordingly as "Technology in the Boonies" is beyond our control.

GOOD NEWS, however.
When your cell is not working it makes a handy-dandy spare flashlight!

  • We do have a booster to help give a better Wi-Fi signal.
  • porch_1 and porch_2 with password: camper01
  • Checking emails, looking at weather, contacting a canoe outfitter, calling a restaurant and using our WiFi for those type of things will assure that all campers can connect.
I am sure you understand why there is to be:
                                             NO STREAMING
                                             NO MOVIE WATCHING
                                             NO GAME PLAYING
                                             NO YOUTUBE WATCHING
on our limited WiFi broadband service.

  1. You are welcome to come up to the office and relax on the porch, sit at a table, lounge in a chair and log on to the Wi-Fi.
  2. If you have a rooftop satellite you may find it difficult to pick up signals due to the heavy overhead tree foliage on sites #12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22.
  3. The Tailgater and Playmate portable satellites can work well here but might be dependant on your camp site location and oliage coverage.
  4. If you are a customer of DirecTV you could be in luck, as we have installed two SWM satellites that you are welcome to coax into from your camper on sites #1,2,3,4,5,12,13,14,15,15,17,18,19,20,21.
  5. REMEMBER TO BRING your own DirecTV receiver for service.
  6. You'll need to change your system to our zip code, 65559
  7. If you have problems, you may need to contact DirecTV via phone to help with your setup.

Because we wouldn't want you to miss that big Nascar race or a Cardinals game,
WE HAVE a great covered porch with chairs, tables, ceiling fans AND A BIG SCREEN TV for you to watch.
Check with the office for equipment.
