Leo, attempt to pet him, or in any way antagonize him, for your safety.

Respect Mother Nature's children - the flora and fauna ,by not cutting, breaking,
         removing things from the woods.

There is poison ivy and snakes and critters in the woods, so be observant and stay
         on paths.

Gravel road and woods west of campground are privately owned.

TRASH & FIREPIT

Trash goes in dumpster and fires go in fire pits.  Don't mix them up.

Burn only wood and chracoal in firepit. Place grate on firepit before leaving.

No food waste, cigarettes butts, egg shells etc. such should be in pit.

Payment boxes installed by Ice and Wood or at Office Door Drop Box - we work on
         the honor system here.

Wi-Fi and SATELLITE

Our location is in a low-density population area with no guarantee that you can
         make a connection.

Park is surrounded by hills, valleys and forested conservtion land with trees in
         center area.

Wi-Fi is sketchy here - we call it Hillbilly Wi-Fi.

         Log-in  to porch_1 or porch_2 with Password: camper01.

Conditions that affect connection:  atmospheric conditions, storms, hills and
valleys, number of RVs in direct line of sight of signal, dense forest coverage.

Direct TV customers may bring their own DirecTV receiver and coax into our two
         DirecTV  satellites available on Sites 1 - 5 and 12 - 21.

RV Rooftop satellites will have difficulty picking up signal on sites # 12, 13, 14, 15,
         16, 19, 20,21.

Portable Tailgater satellite systems work if you have one.

Dish satellite has a difficiult time being picked up in this area and their help line
is not much help for RV'ers.  Good luck.

Such is life in the boonies.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

No discharging of firearms, explosives or fireworks.

         No soliciting.

We are family friendly so four letter words are prohibited. Only exception will be

It has ceiling fans, lights, tables, chairs, large screen TV.

         Check with office for use.

         unsightly.

         No butts in fire pits.

Be respectful of others regarding smoking.

BE A CONSIDERATE CAMPER

Be Kind, Be Helpful, Be Clean, Be a Good Neighbor.
Do not walk through campsites of other campers.
Keep conversations and music at a respectable level.
Keep pets and children from disturbing nearby campers.

DEPUTY SHERIFF and HIS TRAINED MALINOIS, LEO

We are happy to have on property, Deputy Martin and his trained canine, Leo.
We ask that parents inform children not to approach the kennel .

PREPARING TO LEAVE

         Be sure fire is out.

Remove trash/debris from firepit, such as egg shells, left over food, bottles, cans.
Only thing in firepits should be wood, ashes or charcoal.

Place grate back on fire pit. It sure hurts the lawn mower if left in grass.

Place unused wood on top of grate.

Place picnic table back on patio.

Police area for trash, dog waste, etc.

Leave your site cleaner than you found it.

Do one last walk around to be sure you are not leaving anything behind.

Come up to office to pay for any ice or fire wood you used.

Any spouses or kids left behind will be used for winter shoveling.

HANDY CAMPING TIP

Lint from your navel makes a handy fire starter.
Warning: Remove lint from navel before applying the match.

Have Fun - Be Safe - Enjoy your stay.

What is Unfussy camping?

It's about releasing your inner self
to enjoy Mother Nature's breathtaking beauty
and making the time to thoroughly relax.

It's about sitting around a campfire, listening to the tweets of the birds in the trees, watching sunsetsover the horizon, walking in the woods, splashing in the nearby streams, checking out the wild flowers, meeting new friends - and clearing the cobwebs out of your soul.

Sprinkle in some great trout fishing at nearby Maramec Spring Park, one of the five trout parks in the state of Missouri - or gas up and cruise along the Mother Road, Route 66 - or sip some local vino or brews at several nearby wineries and craft breweries - and ending your day dining at superb local restaurants - or practicing your outdoor cooking skills over an open campfire.

And if you haven't ever done 'ole school style' river swimming you can head down to the nearby Meramec River Access - be sure and take your cooler, lawn chairs, floats  and sunscreen - and don't forget your fishing poles. You have to admit this sounds like the perfect setting to enjoy unfussy relaxation at the water's edge by soaking up some good ole' Ozark sunshine.

Well - are you are game to remember how camping can be a great out-of-doors experience? Then you're ready for 'unfussy' camping at Phesasnt Acres RV Park.  Spend a night, a weekend or longer. You won't find another RV park and campground surrounded by such lush forest shade and green grassy area.  I am sure you're going to love discovering  what our quiet family and pet friendly RV park is like. Hopefully you will want to come back again and make us your homebase for exploring the Foothills of the Ozarks. We love our 'PARV Friends.

Camping in the Foothills of the Ozarks is the perfect time to stow away all those electronics and let your tour guide be Mother Nature.

Our physical location in a area of low population density means WiFi, Cell phone and satellite connections are not top notch.  Dang it, nothing we can do about that.

Our apologies in advance.  Believe me - we anxiously await the day that Mid-Missouri technology catches up with the big urban areas. Camping and the wide open out-of-doors can be your opportunity to DETOX from TECHNOLOGY and enjoy the beauty that Momma Nature has to offer - right?
